Preliminary engineering selection

Calculated guidance only. Final hatch geometry, actuator, guards, weather protection, duty and any smoke/fire classification require project-specific approval and evidence.

Two separate curve limits, not a duty point: maximum airflow and shutoff pressure occur at different operating conditions and must not be specified together. The points below are preliminary calculated estimates, not measured or certified performance. Select only a reviewed airflow–pressure pair for the exact speed, air density, hatch position and installation. Shutoff is not an approved continuous operating condition.

Information required before selection

  • Airflow and static pressure
  • Wall or roof opening and available depth
  • Supply/extract direction and weather exposure
  • Power, actuator and control sequence
  • Sound, guards, corrosion and certification requirements

Performance Curve

The published table lists two independent calculated curve limits for each model; these are not simultaneous duty points. A final P–Q curve is released only after the hatch free area, opening angle, guards, weather protection and system resistance are confirmed.

Project-specific engineering status: The tabulated curves above are preliminary calculated estimates, not certified performance. Final performance documentation is configuration-specific.

Dimensions

Published clear-opening sizes are 800, 1000 and 1400 mm. Final external frame, hatch depth, actuator envelope, fixing centres and service clearances are confirmed on the approved GA drawing.

Construction & Materials

Fan casing, hatch or shutter, protective guards, weather protection, actuator interfaces, coating and corrosion class are selected for the installation environment and recorded in the material schedule.

Drive Arrangement

Motor power is stated in the preliminary model table. Direct, belt or other drive arrangement is not claimed universally and is confirmed for the selected fan–hatch assembly.
