RAFAVENT RF-CF-FWD SERIES

Single-Inlet Forward-Curved Centrifugal Fans — Technical Selection Data

Compact forward-curved centrifugal fans for cabinets, AHUs and low-to-medium pressure HVAC supply or extract duties.

RAFAVENT Engineering Calculation — Preliminary Selection — Non-Certified. Values are calculated at 20 °C and standard air density 1.20 kg/m³ using fan-law scaling and engineering assumptions. They are not laboratory-certified ratings. No efficiency claim is made. Final selection requires a confirmed duty point, inlet arrangement, motor loading review and approved production drawing.

Construction and application

  • Formed steel scroll casing with single inlet and multi-blade forward-curved wheel; double-inlet execution requires separate engineering.
  • Wheel balancing and vibration acceptance are required before dispatch.
  • Direct or belt drive by arrangement. Confirm drive side, clockwise/counter-clockwise rotation and discharge position when viewed from the inlet.
  • Motor table shows rated output, not absorbed electrical input. VFD use requires motor and minimum-speed confirmation.
  • Preliminary clean-air ambient duty −20 to +50 °C. No ATEX, smoke, furnace or high-temperature certification is claimed.
  • Standard model series Ø200–Ø800. Sizes 900–1000 are custom only after structural, shaft and motor review.

Forward-curved fans can have rising motor demand toward open flow. Motor selection includes a preliminary 15% margin but final absorbed-power review across the operating range is mandatory. Estimated sound at 3 m has ±6 dB(A) uncertainty before casing, duct and system effects.
