RAFAVENT PRODUCT FAMILY
Pressurisation Systems
Air-movement equipment and project inputs for staircase, lobby and protected-space pressurisation strategies.
Where pressurisation systems fit
Pressurisation is a system duty, not a fan-only claim. The required airflow depends on leakage paths, door conditions, building geometry, control logic and the project fire strategy. RAFAVENT reviews fan requirements within the submitted design basis.
Preliminary engineering selection data
Calculated ranges for early model selection. Final duty, dimensions and materials are confirmed against the project requirement.
| Model | Size / connection | Airflow m³/h | Static pressure Pa | Speed rpm | Motor kW | Supply | Est. dB(A) @ 3 m | Construction | Installation | Typical application | Selection note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PR-500 | Package | 4,000–8,000 | 300–600 | VFD | 3–5.5 | 3Ph | 65 | Fan, VFD, pressure sensor and control panel package | Plant room or roof | Stair, lobby and protected-space pressurisation | Leakage, door force and fire strategy must be calculated per project. |
| PR-800 | Package | 15,000–30,000 | 400–900 | VFD | 18.5–37 | 3Ph | 79 | Fan, VFD, pressure sensor and control panel package | Plant room or roof | Stair, lobby and protected-space pressurisation | Leakage, door force and fire strategy must be calculated per project. |
RAFAVENT Engineering Calculation — Preliminary Selection — Non-Certified
These values are engineering calculations, not AMCA/ISO certified ratings. Smoke, fire, temperature and hazardous-area certification applies only when supported by project-specific evidence.
Staircase pressurisation
Fan selection inputs for protected escape stair strategies.
Lobby and refuge areas
Air supply duties for spaces defined by the project fire and smoke strategy.
System integration
Coordination with ducts, dampers, controls, standby power and pressure sensing.
Information required for selection
- Required airflow and static pressure
- Operating temperature, humidity and air composition
- Continuous, intermittent or emergency duty
- Available power supply and control requirements
- Space, mounting, connection and sound constraints
- Approved pressure criteria, leakage calculation, door scenario and control sequence
Engineering and supply workflow
1. Share requirements — Send the duty point, operating conditions, drawings or BOQ.
2. Engineering review — RAFAVENT reviews the application and identifies missing selection data.
3. Technical proposal — Receive a project-specific configuration and commercial response.
4. Supply and support — Documentation and project coordination continue through the agreed supply scope.
Need a pressurisation system selection?
Send the available project data. RAFAVENT will review the duty before proposing a configuration.
Performance Curve
Engineering status: The published PR-500 and PR-800 ranges are preliminary package-selection envelopes, not universal fan curves. The final P–Q curve is issued for the selected fan after leakage, door-force scenarios, pressure criteria and system resistance are approved.
Dimensions
Package envelope, duct connections, access zones, sensor locations, base or roof interface and maintenance clearances are confirmed on the project GA drawing.
Construction & Materials
Fan casing and impeller, supports, guards, dampers, flexible connections, sensors, control panel enclosure and corrosion protection are selected for the project environment.
Drive Arrangement
The package uses VFD-controlled fan operation. Motor, direct or transmission arrangement, speed range, standby philosophy and control sequence are confirmed for the selected configuration.
Technical Documentation
Selection sheet, fan curve, GA drawing, control schematic, I/O list, installation manual, commissioning procedure and approved compliance evidence are released to the agreed project scope.
